Har health problem ke liye emergency room (ER) bhaagna bhi sahi nahi, aur actual emergency me clinic me baith ke token lena bhi dangerous. Thoda difference samajhna zaruri hai.
ER / casualty suitable for:
- Sudden chest pain, breathlessness, severe allergic reaction, stroke signs (face drooping, speech trouble, weakness in one side), fits, unconsciousness.
- High fever with confusion, stiff neck, difficulty breathing.
- Serious accidents, heavy bleeding, deep cuts, major burns, broken bones with deformity.
- Severe abdominal pain with vomiting, especially if sudden and intense.
Regular clinic / OPD better for:
- Long-standing issues like mild back pain, acidity, joint pain, skin rashes, mild cold/ cough without breathing trouble, headache that’s not “worst ever”, routine follow-ups, report discussion, preventive checks.
Grey zone cases me nearby hospital ka helpline call karke guidance li ja sakti hai. “Just in case” thought samajh me aata hai, par ER pe unnecessary rush genuine emergencies ka time aur resources kha leta hai.
Agar doubt ho aur symptoms rapidly worsen ho rahe ho, zyada safe side ER hi hota hai. Lekin mild, stable issues ko structured clinic visit me dekhna reference-friendly aur cost-effective hota hai.
